Great route design to show case a variety of neighborhoods & trails around Boston. Beautiful start in Boston Common, continue by the sea, quarry, Skyline with many view points, Emerald Necklace & grand finish in Boston Gardens.
Easy access in & out of the loop using the Park Street subway station.
Some streets were busy with drivers sitting in their cars during rush hour commute while I enjoyed the run.
Water was my main concern, even on a cool day with average temperature 18ºC. I started with two liters in my running vest & carried water filter, expecting I would find some water along the way. But the only body of water I walked near was the sea. Then I hoped there would be water near the Blue Hills park headquarters. It turned out the building was under repair. Luckily, there was a public water fountain just outside the building, almost half way through the route. And as it turned out there was another fountain near Jamaica Pond.
