Uphill the whole way! It's nice to rise above the city and have an amazing view. After the cross, the trail continues for the tough ascent. It barely exists and has no maintenance with much of the trail only as wide as your shoes, dropping away. You cross under an active beehive, so becareful if your allergic. Then comes the cables, they are broken off. Definitely sketchy going up and especially down.
