Turns out it's a 4 hour public transit commute and that really hurt the starting time. The trail is covered in Mt Lions right now, according to the signs. Waited until dawn for the return trip. The weather was spectacular! Spent a week waiting for the rain to stop to come do this one. Went mid week to cut down on the cycle traffic, perfect choice.
