Two days of total rest sounds like a perfect condition for improving my FKT time on my favorite hills route.
The temperature was a bit higher than desired. Because of the holiday the trails were a bit crowded, but thankfully not so much that it would hold me back significantly. The mud of the week before had dried away, leaving perfect ground conditions to move fast through those downhills. Even the three downed trees that had to be climbed under or circumvented slowly had been removed.
So I managed to improve my previous time by about 5 minutes.
