I got the green light from my husband to take some time off from parenting, so without much advance notice, I found myself on the Ease Side. I decided to go for the Laurel Mountain FKT (solo and unsupported) the day prior, any it has been at least 10 years since doing the route, so I didn't exactly have much preparation... Not surprisingly, there were some delays from route finding, and I was also wearing running shoes (so I had to be a little more cautious on the 5th class terrain), so I've kindly given the next lady that wants to go for this one a little extra buffer :) I strongly encourage others to go for this one. It is a classic route on fantastic alpine rock (as long as you are on route, ha ha), that offers a lot of opportunity for deep flow states (which I thoroughly enjoyed). I decided not to submit my GPX track for this one because I think the route finding is part of the fun, but also because my tracks are not perfect!
