At 8am, after reading about others struggling with water sources and that the sources along the way were either shut off for the season or required a full boil, Jimi Chestnutt and I dropped 3x water drops along our route at roughly 15km increments. Even despite this water was tight. We drove ourselves to the trailhead in Auburn and followed the blazes/fkt route back to Goderich. We started in heavy rain and wind providing us with very little grip and tons of muck and rain which left us skeptical that we could make the time. Fortunately the weather turned halfway through and we were able to make our time back on the road segments. The last push into town was rough and down to the wire, respective of the duration, we finished with just 5 mins to spare. Finished it off with a cold dip in Lake Huron.
