A beautiful route from the Southern Border to the Northern Border of the ACT. Fully supported by an amazing support crew, this run was a fundraiser for The Burns Unit at The Children's Hospital at Westmead - we raised $7,600.
Starting in -6.5 degrees, it was reportedly the coldest morning in Canberra in 30 years. The early mountains in the first 50km gave way to a flat final 50km and we took in some breathtaking scenery throughout the day.
We wanted to set a course for others to go after - the route is along the quiet roads until the Southern suburbs at Tuggeranong, then follows bike paths all the way to the finish.
