Taking in The Shipwrights Way in Hampshire Sarah Page and I started our 50 mile adventure from Bentley train station and set off in the direction of Portsmouth Gunwharf Keys. The world promptly threw everything it had at us with bouts of torrential rain, road works, costal winds and overgrown trails but 8 hours after starting we arrived at the Dockyard with smiles on our faces having just completed our first FKT attempt.
We ran this completely unsupported carrying all our own equipment and food and having spent the week prior trying to find public taps on the route we managed to run the full 50 miles topping up our water bottles in 2 locations.
