Started at the north end of the trail - there are 2 paved parking spaces and some grass spots (41.67785, -71.880663). The first mile is very runnable - then several miles of loose sand / loose softball sized rocks just looking to take out your ankle. But the last couple miles are fun again. The trail continues past Breakneck Hill road - you can see the blue blazes continue across the road - that portion of trail is easy to follow.
I was slowed a little by running into motorcycles out on the Enduro motorcycle section that the trail shares. Overall I had fun running on a trail that's a little technical. I ran with two 500ml bottles and only saw two other hikers on the full stretch of trail (and the group of 6 folks on motorcycles).
