After a trip to Hebden Bridge on Sunday, I thought it would be fun to run the length of the canal towpath. I looked up the 'Fastest known time' online and it was previously 5.21 (unsupported) from last month. So gave it a bash! The first twenty were lovely - through the Pennines. The 'summit' is quite special up in the hills. The last bit from Rochdale is quite industrial and uninspiring but then you start seeing the glass buildings of Manchester which kept me going - and the thought of big pizzas!
