I have ran and hiked this trail many times and figured I would give the fastest time a shot. The hike and climbs up were not that bad, especially if you start early. There is NO halfway point or NO turn-around notification, so you have to be aware of your mileage to make that decision.
The harder part was the downhill momentum and trying to keep the pace all while navigating and avoiding hikers and others on the trail.
I hope this gets more attention because I know I am not the fastest and I also know I can go faster!
