I set off from Yarnfield with no knowledge of what lay in front of me! I had never run this route before. I had looked at the map but that was all. I had planned on going for the upsupported FKT - but that wasn't to be. I was doing well, however did manage to get lost a couple of times due to the GPS telling me to go a different way to what the way markers said - however I was soon back on track - it did add 2 miles though. I found the fields tough - as the ground was dry and difficult to run on at times. At mile 21 I rolled my ankle it was agony! But I soldiered on, (ankle severely swollen now as I submit this report) At mile 24 ish I ran out of water and to ask the kind lady working in Greenheart Plants garden centre at Hopton to fill my soft flask for me. I finally got back to the car realising I had beaten the previous listed times! I saw a peacock, my first spring lambs and cried my eyes out at the end! Brilliant day out!
