We started in naseby by just the two of us around 7.40am and followed the route the whole way, with a mapped out crew stop from 21km in, roughly every 10 to 12km. Our crew were of four friends who packed everything in the boot of the car. We had all food and water with them, so we didn’t need to stop for water along the way and we could take snacks in our pack.

lauren was also raising money for her mothers local community centre and we passed very close to where she lives so we had quite a few stretches From leamington spa and Warwick where people came to run some stretches along the way with us, but no one stayed with us for the whole time as it was a challenge for the two of us.

progress was very slow at times as the route was very overgrown, or too lumpy to run which made the time very long. We also took much longer at crew stops which we decided was okay as we wanted to share our experience with friends

we ran through the night with two longer stops, one in Stratford upon Avon where we had around 15 mins nap and again at 5am where we had around 40mim break and another short nap at bidford.

at evesham there is a ferry crossing on the official route which we took as well.

we walked more toward the end and overall it took much longer than planned but overall an epic experience and beautiful route, just frustrating it isn’t more runnable
