On Friday, Sept 27th I attempted the Mount Beacon to Fire Tower FKT. It was hot, it was humid, it was gritty, it was steep.
I ran completely unsupported for this short 1.97mi ascent, with lots of power hiking in between. Once you pass the area on Mount Beacon where the old casino stood, the trail flattens out a little bit before a final climb at the very end. Most of the climb are on old, wide roads, albeit rocky and technical.
