The Pembrokeshire Coastal Route - run number 7 of The National Parks Ultra Project.
On 18th June 2023, I set off on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Route from Poppitt Sands in the North having been dropped off there by a local runner Shan.
I decided to do this one solo to have a great adventure and to do it self supported which means I could not have anyone bring me anything but I could use local shops and things.
From the off, i truly enjoyed almost every minute. The scenery was amazing, the weather was near perfect and the people i met along the way were just lovely. I was shown true kindness from several people giving me tea, and cakes and things.
The last few kilometres were a real trudge with sore swollen feet but I arrived at Amroth in the early hours of wednesday.
This was my longest run yet.
NOTE: My watch ran out of battery at 255km and wouldn't charge on route therefore I had to rely on my tracker which is attached here but the distance is wrong due to the track point intervals.
