It was a beatiful day in front of St. Agnus cathedral. Gaggles of tourists were crowding in and out of the big wooden door of the building.
I stood there, anticipating the road ahead. I began thinking about how I would attempt this feat, and how long it would take my record to be beaten.
After three unsuccessful starts I was finally off... The first hundred meters were fantastic, my legs felt fast and free, my hair was flowing behind me, and then it went downhill. I felt water running down my back, so I quickly whipped round and removed my bag. Opening it up I found my bottle had opened itself and filled my phone, earbuds and food full of water.
This had been the fourth attempt and I wasn't stopping, even if I was going to be dehydrated and underfuellled for the whole ride...
