Beautiful day for transversing Saleve (high of 24C, slight breeze). We received support at L'Observatoire (~8km) and Le Grand Piton (~16km). Water is available at Croisette (~11km), however we did not stop. Due to construction, water access at the Téléphérique du Salève was not available (~6.5km). Since the original route barbed wire & electric fencing may have been installed along the upper plateau (~15km). We needed to crawl under fences three times to cross. The trail around ~17km is not longer being maintained. The final downhill stretch is gorgeous wide forested path and was a favorite section!
Agree with Yann Morello (male supported FKT) regarding the multi-path options on Petite Saleve and across the upper plateau. We lost some time in both locations trying to route.
