The run: I started the run at 9, having 4L of water and an ample supply of food in my pack. It was hefty, but needed to do it unsupported. We’ve had a month of 30 C+ day temps, so was happy to take 23 in cloud cover for this attempt. There is a 24/7 public outdoor waterspout on the most eastern town in the route, in hindsight I would have changed my starting point to pass here at ~30 K, but had no need for it now with my massive supply of water. Anything over the marathon distance was new terrain for me, so was happy to only show cracks at about the 50 K mark.
Glad to have done it even though the GPS data corrupted, that’s enough Polar for me, I’ll be switching brands asap.

The route: I decided to set my start/finish near the local McDonalds for a convenient refuel after. Ample parking in the next side street, even some EV-chargers. You pretty much run the entire route in nature, with only a few kilometers where you have to share the road with cars. With the exception on a ~1 k cobble section the entire road is beautifully maintained asphalt, making the route a hot-spot for cyclists as well. Very clean path too, I must have passed 40 bins. The east-side of the route is the nicest bit for sure.
