I started with another person on Lehigh Gap, trailhead at the bottom of the climb, at 7:22 AM. We were going for self supported attempt at this route so we dropped water at Smith Gap and Wind Gap. Those locations for the water drop were definitely the perfect spots to resupply. I carried with me 4 17-oz water bottles and only used the 2 every time we got to the water drops. And finally used up all of it after the last resupply in Wind Gap all the way to Delaware Water Gap. My partner tripped a few times and injured her wrist so she decided to drop in Wind Gap and I decided to keep going. Our plan was to go conservative and do it in 10 hrs but we were running behind schedule when we approached Wind Gap. After she dropped, I tried to pick up pace and make up for time but it was hard when the hardest part is probably between Wind Gap and Rte 191 with all the rocks. I made it to the end point, the boundary line of PA and NJ on the bridge over the Delaware River, just before the 10 hrs goal (9:57).
