Started at Glenn Cliff trailhead, up over Moosilauke, down Beaver Brook and turned around at Rte 112.
Climb up Glenn Cliff is pretty tough being basically a straight shot for 3.7miles and 3,200' gain. Beaver Brook is super technical and has amazing scenery of the brook with waterfalls. After the turn around the waterfalls are super nice to distract from the pain of the climb back up the steep section of roughly 1.5 miles and 2,000' gain.
Conditions were icy, packed snow and some mud below 2,000'. Got lucky with a couple of inches of wet snow and warm conditions to soften up the ice. Got destroyed on the steep ascents... 2 steps forward and 1 back. May have made it up on the descents as the rocks were all covered but not sure with no previous experience to compare to. It was my first time on the trail.
Hope this route gets some attention and some competition. It may be still on the shorter side but it is classic New England technical running with rugged steep climbs and Beaver Brook simply makes it all worth the adventure. Super rad and fun.
