They're my local trails, so I figured why not try the FKT. Thanks to Stacy L for getting it out there as an FKT and the Quinlan Pfiffer for setting the men's standard!

I think my biggest route efficiencies from Stacy and Quinlan's routes were making the conduit lane and 162nd access/Angregg trail one-way by starting and ending on them, respectively. Starting higher on the butte and ending low has advantages too. I think there are still route modifications that could save some distance, but I don't see it getting much below 13.5 (thought I had my route at 13.1, and was over that by a good bit!).

The beauty of this FKT is that it doesn't take a lot to prepare for. I got the idea to try it on a weekend, mapped my route on a Saturday and ran it late Sunday evening. Temps were in the 50s, it rained a bit, and it was dark for about the last half of the run. Carried a running vest with a couple of flasks and had 1 spring mid-way through. Hopefully some more runners take a shot at this. Beautiful place to run, right in town, and logistically very easy to attempt!
