“ I started at 3am and ran solo this time. I ended up just stopping frequently and eating real food. It did get a bit hot and I had a rough patch climbing up to Constantia Berg but after that it was just cruising to the finish.
After my disappointment at UTMB (TDS) two weeks ago I was keen to get a long run in to clear my head and also test out running on only solid food as I have been having some stomach issues post my Himalayan trip. Linking up the 13 Peaks route in one go was magical and there is a special sense of achievement at making it back to Signal it. I love the low key uncomplicated element of 13 Peaks and it will definitely go down as one of my favorite days in the mountain."
