Twin Lake was a project to set an F.K.T(fastest known time) on two high-altitude lakes (Bhrigu 4300m & Rani Sui 3790m).
Two years ago, I imagined a dream of building an 'F.K.T' culture in India. I'm proud to say that we've made decent strides.
Watching the next generation cheer for me at the Finish Line made me realize that stride. Looking at those young ones being curious about trail running was something that gave me immense contentment.
In hindsight, the project went quite smoothly. Nutrition and training were taken care of with strict discipline. The goal was to run both lakes in under 20 hours, but I achieved the milestone in 15 hours and 28 minutes.
Still, there was a bitter-sweet feeling. Doubting myself before and even during the project was a bitter pill to swallow. And nailing the target was obviously the sweet one. Being able to do what you love is truly a gift that only a few people tend to have. I'm grateful that I am one of the fortunate ones.
