We headed out as a trio for an early start to avoid the heat and foot traffic. The weather was misty and muggy but cool enough for a comfortable run. We started the loop at Lovers Lane in Botley; we found the main page GPX file 'crude' so I would advise people to download one of the athlete's GPX files instead as it was quite hard sometimes to see on the watch which footpath was the correct one. This resulted in a few wrong turns and double backs which added a tiny bit on to our milage. The route was well signposted in some areas (around the woods and popular walking areas) but not sign posted at all in the more urban areas - perhaps the way markers used to be there.
Overall a lovely route with some lovely trails and views out over Southampton water. The highlight of our run was the Highland cattle grazing :)
