Started from Timberline Lodge around 7:00 am on Wednesday, Sept 10. Great weather conditions, starting in the low 50s, sunny and beautiful on the east side, and cool/foggy (and occasionally pouring rain!) on the west side. I brought all the gels I needed & filtered water as needed along the way. The river crossings were all very manageable this time of year. The Muddy Fork section (that was rerouted due to landslides in 2021) is totally passable now--just a bit slow with blowdown, overgrowth, and some steep re-built sections of trail where the slides were. Overall a great day that went by very quickly until the last ~9 miles of never-ending climbing. Like Michelle said, a woman breaking 7 hrs is totally possible & more folks should go for it!!
