I began at pumpelly trailhead with 3 water flasks, a gel, and a applesauce pouch. It was a warmer day with temps in the 80s, and the breeze up on the ridgeline was much welcomed. There was alot of people sitting at the summit as I crossed over to head down the other side of the mountain. Sucked down a gel on the way down, and  made it to the bottom of Marlboro trail in about 1 hour and 20 minutes, which was faster than I had intended on doing. The climb up Marlboro wasn't as daunting to me, as I prefer hiking over running. But it still felt really hard after going up pumpelly so quick. A few passerbys gave me some nice compliments when they seen me for the 2nd time. My stomach was growling that it was hungry, so I ate the applesauce on my climb back up. Back up over the summit, now time for the descent down pumpelly. All my water was gone by the time I made it down. I had hoped to keep my return trip in the same 1 hour and 20 minute range, but it ended up being longer. All in all, it was a good day and I couldn't have asked for better trail conditions. And as always, the lake at the bottom of Pumpelly is a favorite to jump into after doing something like this!
