I'm a big fan of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), and a board member, so it was fitting that I would go after the FKT on the trails behind the headquarters. I did a warm up lap of Camille's Loop, and then gave it a go. It was part of a full day of adventure that included crewing for Debbie, riding from the Mattabesett Trail terminus to meet her half way, running another FKT (Field Forest Trails) on the way, and then running the last 30 miles of the Mattabesett with her. Phew. What a day.
