11/16: Panboche to Everest Base Camp and back to Pheriche. Arrived at 2:00p (Nepal Time). New One-Way Record – Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp – 5 days, 10 hours and 46 minutes. This direction is materially different and more difficult than Lizzy Hawkers record in the other direction due to significantly more elevation gain, having to be acclimated to high elevation prior to arrival and requirement to carry a heavy fastpacking pack with all gear for traveling in the high mountains.
