I saw this pseudo-normal loop of mine on the fkt site just last night, so I thought I'd see about going and getting it. The great thing about a loop-course fkt is you can start anywhere on the loop that you want, so I started on my corner, about a 2-min walk from my door.
As to Isaac noting that he prefers more trail and less pavement, there are ways to shorten the pavement on this loop from ~2.5 mi to ~1 mi by using a couple lesser-known, but legitimate established, trails that most non-locals probably wouldn't know about. And that's one of the things about non-locals, or those unfamiliar with an area, establishing FKTs, is that they often don't know about the cooler, smaller trails. Although it was fun to finish running down Maple St past a wedding at a neighbor's house. (note that I realize Isaac isn't the person who established this fkt and it is still a cool route)
Apologies to Isaac for holding this for only 3 days and thanks for putting it out there for me to go get, as it's definitely the fastest I've ever run the loop.
