Starting at 07:00 on Saturday 17th October, I ran the Buckinghamshire Way, from South to North. As a blind runner, I had a team of 12 guides running with me, completing legs of varying distances, and a support car (3 teams) with food and water meeting us along the way. Due to footpath closures, HS2 and another local railway diversion, we ended up running around 9km more than the actual route, adding on around 2 hours of moving time (last 3 photos show diversions on Garmin Livetrack). Other than this, we had no major issues. The weather held out until the last few kms, when the rain came. Overnight was clear and very cold. Conditions underfoot were not too bad: dry, a fair amount of tarmac/paths, many many stinging nettles along narrow tracks in the middle of the night!
