It was a super humid day, but I was making great time for the first ~2/3 of the route. I was meeting my boyfriend for a resupply at FR 95, but managed to miss a turn coming down from that ridge and continue on the wrong trail for over 2 miles past Gordon's Peak before realizing my mistake and turning around. Shortly after the resupply as I climbed the third major peak a thunderstorm and torrential downpour started which made the rest of the run fun to say the least. Because of the various tribulations I faced and my attempts to keep this as mostly a Zone 2 training run, I think this time is going to be easily beatable and I am excited to see someone do it! I would love to come back again to challenge my own result. I think I could probably shave off 2 hours pretty easily.
Note: My Garmin died when I was about 3 miles from the end, so the last portion was recorded on my phone using the Strava app. The .gpx files I uploaded are the raw file directly from my Garmin, plus the .gpx file downloaded from Strava for the last portion. I spliced together those two .gpx files for the activity that I made publicly available on Strava.
