Started from Bharatpur tent colony (road head) on the national highway at 01.10 am. A gradual climb towards the river/stream. The water flow was high, so removed shoes, socks and crossed it. Went up a grassy patch on to morraine and scree with water flowing around. The gradient eases and one reaches the base camp where several cairns are visible. Filled water here. Continued up the steep slope towards the peak. Several snow patches have to be crossed. As one reaches the shoulder at 5900m, the path curves towards the left. Entirely over ice here on. Advisable to traverse this section as early as possible when the snow is hard. Then the flags and big cairns are visible which mark the peak or mount Yunam at 6111m. Descended back via the same route sliding over snow patches. Back to the road head at Bharatpur.
