FKT: Shawn Cheshire - Wonderland Trail (WA) - 2025-08-23

On August 21, 2025 at 5:56am in the morning, I began my attempt as first BLIND PERSON to complete the WT in 3 days or less with 5 sighted guides which included Jake Ricter.  First day we hiked White River to Mowich Lake while dropping 3 of my sighted guides.  Day two I hiked Mowich Lake to Longmire with two sighted guides.  On day three, with more access to the route, the guides swapped out.  The last 20 miles from Box Canyon back to White River, i had 2 sighted guides with me.  Jake Ricter was the only guide that completed the entire WT with me.  He took pictures of me at every sign on the WT.  We finished back at the start at 5:30am on August 24, 2025.  Boy was my brian tired.  It was awesome.
