After many failed attempts I finally had a good day on this trail! Had nice running weather; 60s, overcast/light rain. Trail was slick and muddy in places from rain. I've run this trail about 7 times and it is sneaky tough. There aren't really any monster hills but a lot of little hills and lots of trees roots and rocks. Trail is mostly single track with lots of twists and turns. Some navigation skills or scouting helps too as there are quite a few intersections and trail crossings. Plus a tricky marsh crossing where it's pretty much impossible not to get your shoes completely soaked and muddy. But overall this is a fun, challenging trail with little foot traffic. Glad I stuck with it and kept going for the FKT. It's a really fun challenge.
