I did the "Ostallgäuer Wanderweg"-FKT on a saturday starting at 10am totally unsupported. Conditions were perfect at around 25 degrees celcius. I only used light gear including a hydration vest with some emergency equipment, 1.2 litres of water and 3 gels.
Reminder: If you consider to do this FKT self-supported, there is no possibility of buying any resupplies along the path. After about 21 kilometers there is a small wooden fountain in front of a farm which could be used to refill your water bottles. I also recommend to organize your pick-up at the end of the trail as there is almost no mobile service provider available.
