Starting at 6am sharp in the dark at the Sellicks Beach Ramp on Monday 8/3/21. Dan Camac got in touch the day before and was up for an adventure. Everything went to plan in terms of maintaining a steady pace throughout. Cool conditions and a southerly breeze also made for ideal running with the wind on our backs. The southern beaches covering Aldinga Reef, Old Pt Willunga Jetty, Port Noarlunga, Christies Beach etc were spectacular running on fresh legs. The 3kms of boulder hopping between Pt Stanvac and Hallet Cove was engaging, and the Marion Coastal Trail on the boardwalk added great variety above the cliffs with a heap of steps.

Once on the metro beaches starting at South Brighton it was just a matter of dialling in and chipping away with only a small detour around the Glenelg Marina (at West Lakes Surf Lifesaving Club the route stays in front on the sand if the tide is out or on the boulders if it's in). In total the route takes you through 24 beaches and past 7 Jetties.

Along the way we were met at regular intervals by Andy Dunt and Lee Thornton for resupply. A great day out as a supported FKT adventure, the route definitely lends itself to unsupported or self-supported attempts with toilets and drink fountains at regular enough intervals.
