Tough one! Ticking over fine earlier on- a lot of open fields to start out. I was hoping for a thunderstorm last night to clear the humidity, but no luck. Passed lots of familiar places from my childhood and teenage years (Rudding Park- where I worked over summer many times, Traveller's Rest- a favourite local pub etc). Started to get hard from Harlow Carr onwards- a lot more up and down, and dodging roots. Felt like I needed a lot more water, and started flagging near Nidd Gorge. Had a boost once I recognised the Beryl Burton cyclepath, and coasted back to my start point.
