Having recently completed the route in all four seasons, this was my fifth run along Seoul’s historic city wall.
As usual, I started at Sungnyemun. Unfortunately, this time I was stopped by several red lights right at the beginning. Once past them, I followed the path over Inwangsan to Bugaksan without any notable interruption.
Thankfully, the stairway along the wall at Bugaksan had reopened, allowing for a quicker and smoother ascent.
After conquering this challenging section, I passed through Hyehwa-dong, climbed up Naksan, and cruised down to Heunginjimun.
Heading toward Namsan, I hit a couple more red lights, but after reaching the summit of Seoul’s most iconic mountain, I flew downhill through crowds of tourists and closed the loop back at Sungnyemun.
This was an unsupported run. I carried 250 ml (8.45 fl oz) of water, a Snickers bar, and a small bag of green grapes.
