I took a wrong turn right at the start 😅. Other turns are easy to miss, so I would not rely on the markings/signposts only. However, stopping once in a while is definitely worth it as the trail offers some great views with a nice mix of scenery. It runs through the hilly Eastern Eifel along forest and meadow paths as well as earthy, natural woodland trails. The second half was more rugged, and shin protection might have been wise, as others suggested.
The Quellenweg passes several premises of mineral water companies, but ironically, the public Trinkpavillon in Bad Tönisstein at km14 was closed.Â
