On April 13th, I took on the full length of Alabama’s scenic Eastern Shore Trail, starting at the southern tip near Weeks Bay and running northward to Daphne. Covering 23.4 miles in 5 hours and 26 minutes, this run was as much about endurance as it was about enjoying the Gulf Coast's natural beauty.
I began the journey at the tranquil marshes of Weeks Bay, moving through Point Clear and the historic charm of Fairhope, where bay views, blooming flowers, and tree-lined paths offered picturesque motivation. From there, I climbed gradually into Montrose and Daphne, ending the run along shaded sidewalks and elevated boardwalks near the Gator Boardwalk.
The mix of terrain—from asphalt paths to wooden bridges—kept things dynamic, and my pacing held steady across changing elevations and weather. With temperatures warming up and spring in full bloom, this run truly captured the essence of the Eastern Shore.
