A self supported run, starting from Mantra tou Kampiou and ending on Olympos peak through north face.
The technical Kionia trail was a worry at night but arrived at Macheras monastery with no problems where I filled the two flasks carrying 1L. From Macheras to Lazania there is a trail, but as I never been through it before I didn't want to risk it at night and took the road.
After Lazania there is a steep vertical and then downhill to Fikardou, here I also filled the back bladder with water and was now carrying 2L. I reached Agios Epiphanios through the paved road and entered the trail again up until km 46 where I had a stash of water and food.
I after a short time on Alona road I entered the dirt roads towards Stavros to Agiasmati church. Just before the church I entered the beautiful trail towards Lagoudera where I arrived in daylight.
Then Saranti and the Madari trail, at the Peak I did a longer stop at the fire watch station, the forest ranger was very hospitable and made coffee and lemonade.
After Madari it was all downhill to Spilia, I got water again at the end of the trail at the village entrance.
A short run on roads and then the dirt roads and fire roads to Agios Nicolaos. At Agios Nicolaos I added water to full capacity for the last time and took the road towards the entrance of Kannoures trail. The road part feels a bit long, halfway I bought a coke from a restaurant which made things better.
Kannoures is technical but beautiful with a running stream. Exiting Kannoures there is a dirt road that meets the main Troodos road, I jumped the road fence and crossed to the other side where I climbed under the ski lifts to the top.
I had about 250 - 300.kcal /hour in gels, bars and honey waffles, isotonic tabs and salt pills, but also some chips and coke. I carried most from the start but added through a stash at km46
