FKT: Stefan Wilfinger - Neusiedler See Umrundung (Austria, Hungary) - 2025-01-24

Tackled the "Neusiedler See" as part of the Burgenland Extrem Event. Solo leader after the first kilometers but there were hundreds, if not thousands of hikers along the route. The hikers were nice to talk to but sometimes hard to pass, especially groups of 20 or more on the single track sections. The weather was surprisingly good - almost no winds (which is very unusual for the area) and nice day time temperatures above freezing. Only in the early morning hours the roads where slippery due to sub-zero temperatures and ice. All-in-all: Well organized event with loads of aid stations, friendly people and the perfect event for an early season challenge.
