After a heavy week of rain I had to wade over the river at Killhope Lead Mining Museum to get to the start point of the Weardale Way at 6:00am. Rain proceeded for the first 4 hours through rookhope & then started to die off towards the midway point. David Mortemore my friend acted as support along the way providing food and water replenishment at various accessible points of the route ie, Westgate, Rookhope, Stanhope, Wolsingham, Sunderland Bridge, Durham, Chester Le-Street & Mount Pleasant. I ran solo for the whole route. Managed to keep an even pace throughout at around 10:24 min/mile pace and landed at the monument at around 8:30pm  Had to back track a few times adding unneeded mileage onto the overall distance, but nutrition & pacing was on point and really happy at how the whole day went.
