FKT: Steven Lange - Delaware Water Gap - Buttermilk Falls (NJ) - 2019-08-24

I really leaned hard into this one, it was my last long run before the Watergap 50k. Everything was going smoothly and I was feeling extremely strong. At the 18 mile mark is where you hit the Buttermilk Falls sign. While descending Buttermilk Falls blue blazed trail I actually kicked a rock and went down hard, broke my big toe (which i didn't know at the time). I continued to motor down the trail as if nothing had happened. I hit the road at the bottom of Buttermilk Falls and stopped my gps watch. This is an absolutely beautiful point to point with a fantastic finish line! Be careful while running it fast, the rocks are not forgiving! Ps. Diagnosed with two fractures in my big toe and was out for 10 full weeks. Be safe, connect, explore!
