Ran to fire tower and return. Timed the effort using a digital stopwatch (we are talking 1982) and entered it in the training log.
I was quite fit, coming off a good marathon. I have climbed Blue Mountain for many years and decided to really press and see what kind of time was possible with a high level of fitness. I was not "elite," but ran 10Ks in 33 minutes and a few 2:40 ish marathons.
