A small tribute to the man, the myth, the legend: Louis Seymour. His mischievous ghost greeted me at the Mud Lake outlet and led me astray for a distance, gaining me 1.4 miles and losing me about 17 minutes. The view at the creaky tower's top was a fitting end to the journey, and out in the distance near Cedar Lakes I swear I heard the wild hoots and hollers of the old trapper.
