Great morning! I was hoping to do this before the snow came but it came early and it has decided to stick around! Conditions were chilly, which actually made for a very easy day in terms of keeping our body temps juuuuuust right. Most of the trail... 90%+ was snowy, had a few miles of untouched snow too! Ran with a friend, Dirk, who is very familiar with these trails, keeping navigation issues to a minimum.
umm... let's see. MAN! This FKT was super fun! Great views of what's the come, great views of the Sisters, some most excellent singletrack miles to finish out the last 8 miles and well... the hill climbs were steep at the tops! Fast flat miles + hard grinding shortish bursts of lung busting hill climbs and nearly empty trails for the majority of the day. A total win!
