FKT: Tai Roulston - Sugar Hollow Loop (VA) - 2023-08-22

I ran Sugar Hollow Loop near Crozet, Virginia, USA, starting and ending at Sugar Hollow Reservoir. It was a hot day but I was able to carry all needed water for the route--3 liters-- and felt great throughout. I ran alone and saw no one at all on the trail, suprising since it includes an 8 mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail. It's a really nice loop, mostly runnable and much of it quite smooth. I'm surprised more people haven't given this one a go. The regional lack of rain made all the river crossings easy so it was a great experience all around.
