I started SUPER quick. I knew I had speed and wanted to take advantage of that for the first two days while I was still fresh. Will P was able to stay incredibly consistent through his attempt; that is not where my strengths lie. I knew I'd have to get ahead and work with the natural fade of my body and hope I had enough of a lead to keep it together. I was experimenting a lot with sleep deprivation on this attempt.. something I haven't done often. It was scary and new but I learned so much. This will only help aid future attempts :) I slept for just under 3 hours and was exhausted by the end. I got to the sign and collapsed to the ground. By day 3 my brain would scream at me to stop for just 30 seconds and take a "break".
I'm so thankful for the experience, my friends, and the Green Mountains. I hope more women will be inspired to get after those overall FKTs. We are sooooo capable.
