I put on my big girl pack and tried to go speedy bettering the FKT on the Powerline Trail starting in Princeville this morning. I cut it down maybe 20 minutes or so for a new unverified @fastestknowntime effort.
It was hard not to stop and stare into the different sunrise views that changed along the way as I passed through the center of the island with jungle vistas all around me.
If you’re ever out here on island, this is a very beatable time for this 20+ mile route with around 3500’ feet of climbing. 4:22ish? I almost melted into a puddle, but that was part of the enjoyment. Soon the only melting I’ll be doing is defrosting the snow off my windshield.
Just a reminder to get out there and let it rip sometimes. Turn on the rockets and fly. Pick something fun and go after it.
